#11 What if the LCD, NCD or CD is not active on a CPT code and I think it should be?
Please make sure your preferences are set to the specific carrier for your geographic region. Each Medicare Carrier has their own list of LCD policies in effect. In many cases, the policy topic is the same, but the contents can vary significantly between regions.
If you have set your carrier number properly and still have questions, please call us to discuss your particular questions. We have encountered instances where a retired or updated policy from CMS has not yet been implemented by the carrier.
