#7 What is being analyzed when entering codes into the Analysis Engine screen? (Entry or Analyze Button)
The Flash Code Analysis Engine checks a grouped set of codes against the three most common causes for claim denials based on coding errors:
------Use of a non-specific ICD-10-CM code
------Billing of CPT/HCPCS code pairs that are subject to the NCCI unbundling edits
------Not including an ICD code for a CPT/HCPCS code that requires medical necessity
The Analysis Engine provides you with prompts, including options, at each decision point. You can override the prompts if desired.
