Medicare (and most private insurance companies) will automatically reject claims that include non-specific ICD (diagnosis) codes. Flash Code shows a green light next to all non-specific codes. When the user clicks on the green light, they "drive" to the next "intersection" where more specific codes are displayed. This process is repeated until the codes have red lights, indicating this code has reached the "end of the road" and is ready to be billed.
The Validation engine works in a similar way... -Nonspecific codes are flagged for review -The user can view more specific codes at the click of a button -Clicking on a specific code replaces the current - nonspecific - code
The user always has the option to cancel or override validation prompts. |
